Master tables are reference tools used by some sampling plans to decide whether to accept or reject a lot once results from a sample are known. This method allows quick, standardized decisions without performing new statistical calculations for every lot. Other options involve inspecting every item, using random sampling with methods not tied to master tables, or applying different rules like the square-root method, which don’t rely on master tables to interpret results.
